      This is a replacement basket for the Paramount In Deck & Equipment-Side Debris Canister. Basket is made out of plastic and handle can be removed to add mesh bag. For small or fine debris, get the Debris Canister Fine Mesh Bag or the Blue Mesh Bag.       1. This "optional" bag is not optional

        I have for years used the former Blue mesh bag, that has now been discontinued. This new plastic and rigid debris bag fits well in my canister holder, but it has holes that are too big so now a lot of smaller debris goes right through it and gets caught in the pool filter.
        So in order to get a finer mest I bought the "optional" Debris Canister Fine Mesh Bag that fits inside the new rigid debris bag. As a result the cost for all this has doubles and I'm left with 2 bags to mess around with.
        For heavens sake why did they discontinue the old blue bag. If I had a choice that is what I would go back to.         on 5th Aug 2022

      2. The "old" blue flex bag was better

      3. Solved my issues perfectly

        This replaced the bag that was OEM from 14 years ago when the pool was built, that had long fallen apart and never replaced. It fits perfectly and is now collecting what the OG bag was letting pass right through. This canister is a much better option then the OG equipment and works far superior to it. Very glad I switched this out. Hopefully it lasts much longer then what I started with and I won't be needing another one for some time. on 3rd Jun 2021
